If you're an NQT then we hope that you'll join the National Education Union.

We are by far the largest teachers’ union in Camden.  We have consulted with the Camden Authority over a new model pay policy for schools which will protect our pay at a time when the government is trying to reduce it by introducing performance-related pay;  we have won a significant increase in teachers’ maternity and paternity rights; we have run successful campaigns over recent years on issues like education cuts and privatisation.

We hold monthly General Meetings where members can share what is happening in schools, raise issues and discuss national issues. These meetings are held in the Crowndale Centre from 5.00 to 6.30pm. You would be very welcome at these meetings; we provide refreshments and we will reimburse you for any childcare costs.

To join the NEU online, click here, or call the membership hotline on 0845 300 1669.

If there is anything at all that the Union can help you with, please feel free to ring.  All our details are on the contact page.
